My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

I am trying to work out why there is a piano in a courthouse museum, they must have had some strange trials there hehe! Brings a whole new meaning to "Will you accompany me to the station sir?" As our police say, well used to say, they just read you your rights and cuff you, well I use the term "You" in the broader sense. Myself, I worked for them for 7 years as a civil staff jailer in a custody suite. You'll be amazed at the amount of leeway that gets me, even 34 years down the line, not that I break laws, but if I do do something that attracts their abstention, a quick mention that I was 02 mike tango usually gets them gone in minutes. The old school tie ethos is rife in that respect. Great layering here auntie.

Old courthouse, old piano, spirits hovering nearby. Superb layering gives this image a ghostly feeling as if past memories have overlaid each other through the years. The sheet music is a great touch and really adds to the overall feeling. I can imagine disembodied hands playing 19th music every midnight

I agree, the layering gives this the feeling of long life and many hands having experienced the feel of it...beautiful work!

Of course there would be a piano in a courthouse. They do more there than hang folk. There's weddings and such. I would bet my bottom dollar that's what it was used for. And... if it was the largest building in town, they may have had community gatherings there.

This is beautiful; I really have to get with you and relearn how do layer. I remember doing it before, but that was when I still had a mind!!

A very lovely composite, Tara! A brilliant touch with the musical notes included in this wonderful work.

An excellent looking image!

Super work! Generally, I don't like superimposition because I find that the photos superimposed lose their individual interest, but I like you result. The photographs that are mixed go well together and give a magical musical mood. M.

Very interesting postwork. Bravo !

Amazing what an extraordinarily beautiful result is this, Tara. I just love anything that's to discover on this image, and what is that music book excellent on it, as well as the iron lines where the keys are attached. Very special, though, my friend.
