Description

And a few buildings. More from our boat trip last Thursday. Brownsea Castle in the centre, owned by the National trust and Leased to the John Lewis Partnership as a hotel for their employees. Clockwise from the top left The lagoon on Brownsea, managed by Dorset Wildlife Trust as part of the Nature Reserve: Shell Bay beach: The National Trust cafe at Studland Bay: Old Harry from the North side, the view we see from Bournemouth: Rounding the point, and the same again: You can see the people on the cliff top in the bottom right picture: the long view looking North back toward Poole Bay and Bournemouth: An RNLI rib under the cliff: "A small boat channel exists just to the Western side of the Swash Channel, and is the recommended entrance for small craft, as it will keep you out of the way of ferries. It is marked on its western side by a series of lit and unlit red piles on the training wall, and bounded on the Western side by the red can buoys of the Swash Channel proper. It is clearly marked on our charts and if using this channel it is necessary to rejoin the Swash Channel after passing the red can buoy number 8 (which will be on your starboard hand) and before you reach the red can buoy number 10, which needs to be left to port." The Royal Motor Yacht Club: The Parkstone Yacht Club race start platform.

A wonderful collection of shots Andrea, certainly deserving of a zoom view. A question I must ask... have you considered going into the post card business?, you would boost tourism and make a pretty packet for yourself too... that would certainly cover the cost of art materials and digital camera's. Each shot worthy of it's own gallery posting.

Your template is coming to life in many guises now. This is another glorious collection of shots! I like the multi image post cards when I'm away and want one to send to relatives anyway, so a real box ticker!

My eyes are drawn to the castle, which seems to be builded with what they had to build with that season :-) Didnt seem to matter what material they were building with... Or so it seems from my POV :-) Yet it is a beautiful castle and i like the cliffs. They look like a cake, someone took a huge bite off :-) Super collection, Andrea :-)

That looks like a tour I would enjoy! When we come over, you'll have to point us in the right direction. (Mandy is in excellent health, btw. A slight bladder infection cleared up with antibiotics, and her blood work came back "all systems go." We're enjoying the heck out of her, but it may be a while before we get to see your beautiful coast!)

This is a splendid overview, with each picture a pure nature-beauty, and that castle,.....wow. I'm curious whether you were in that castle, or perhaps you ever been, Andrea. And what a wonderful weather you both could enjoy, huh?
