Hera (Juno). She is Zeus' wife and sister, and the protector of marriage. Married women were her peculiar care. Many stories show her punishing the many women Zeus fell in love with. She is also the gracious protector of heroes and the inspirer of heroic deeds. The cow and the peacock are sacred to her.
