Description

First an apology for not mentioning names on the last post. I take it for granted sometimes having named my family in previous posts, but in the chance of a new visitor I should always reiterate. My lady; Crystal, Daughter; Ambria, and my son Draconis (Drake) Secondly an update; the home owner of the rental we were to live in has lost his job and is moving back into his home. So we had some back paddling to do and have secured another Lake Stevens residence. Good thing about that is I won't be on the road until Monday, and can call Dad ON his Birthday Friday. Now on to the image. Still doing the south unit of the Coyote Buttes Wilderness. Have run out of water at this point in the day on the final leg of this trek. Came across this on the way up the opposite side of the wash from the massive natural amphitheater. The overlapping patterns in the sandstone are quite uncommon. Be sure to enjoy a zoooooooooom!!!!! To the kind souls that leave their mark whether a comment, rating, or save the image as a fav, you are very much appreciated, thank you!!!

Which is one reason I seldom go wandering in the hills, I saw that movie. This might get me to rethink that. Very impressive formations. A fantastic image.

The pattern in the sandstone reminds me of the rings of a tree!
