Description

This is a shot from my local nature reserve. As happens these days, you have been used to the same view for years. We have sat in this bird watching hide so much you have your own place to sit! Then one day there is a huge windmill to be seen. I had to take a shot in Infrared and converted to mono. It's a while since I have used my IR camera. I wanted to check it works with a new lens. Some lenses just can't deal with IR, luckily this seems OK!

Yeah the hot spot from some lenses is a real pain. Even some of Canons L series are hopeless. Love the IR Kev, brings a whole new perspective to an otherwise usual shot.

This is superb, Kevin. Hope the birds know to avoid those blades!

I am not a 'fan' of IR but this pic is quite good Kevin.

This is a powerful composition (in more ways than one), and I should like to see it in colour too.

Cool IR shot Kevin. There's a lot of wind farms down our way (Devon and Cornwall) :)
