Description


Spathiphyllum is a genus of about 40 species of monocotyledonous flowering plants in the family Araceae, native to tropical regions of the Americas and southeastern Asia. Certain species of Spathiphyllum are commonly known as Spath or Peace Lilies

I love the flowing curves of the leaf & how it contrasts with the fascinating bumpy shape & the way you've isolated it against a flat background to bring it into sharp focus. But the lighting seems a little harsh & bright to me - it gives the leaf a kind of plastic, artificial quality. I only shoot in natural light so I can't offer any specific advice on how to light it differently, but for what it's worth, that's my opinion...
