Description

I recalled that I had a blade for my reciprocating saw for cutting limbs. with a lot of effort I was able to cut the trunk with the saw. I cut it low so using a hand saw for trees was too difficult. the best thing was I did not have to use a chain saw, as I detest them. too noisy and quite dangerous. I used them before when I was still working but never liked them I posted this today because I forgot to mention this morning that Mikada (Mike) has been ill for many days, but yesterday he was able to send me a site mail. he said that he will be back soon

Looks like you cut it very effectively, Richard! I have a 14-inch electric chainsaw that works pretty well for light duty stuff - I don't like those big gas ones, either. Very dangerous tools.

You were busy as a beaver ! Love that 180 degree undercut, but with the tools you choose you did a remarkable job! I agree about chainsaws, probably why the word massacre is closely assciated with them. :) Glad its down with no mishaps!

Glad you got it done with no injuries, I agree not wild about chainsaws, sooner use a bow saw or axe when I fall a tree, reciprocating saws are great too especially for limbs.

The result of toil is clear to see, plenty of sweat goes into it when not using a chainsaw and such things can be dangerous especially when cutting that low it would be a big no no as the chain could hit a rock or stone kicked up or the chain can break sending it hot through the air like a flying guillotine.

Congratulations Richard! You got it down. Can't use a chainsaw, otherwise the trees would call you the Texas Chainsaw Murderer!

After tropical storm Iselle had hit us, the chainsaws was very much needed as thousands of Albezia Trees fell blocking roads, downing power lines and damaging homes. But I like your cutting... Aloha
