I've been an art lover since I was a kid, when I used to draw all day. I was a latecomer to digital art, though... I started messing around with Painter a little bit after I became a web site developer, and slowly became interested in 3D. Still don't model from scratch, but I enjoy the challenges of lighting, morphing etc. Particularly intrigued by realism.

Nice work. Do you mind if I ask what hair count (or population) you used for this?

Thanks for commenting. Not sure if that info would help you much by itself, as I think density relates to the res of the skullcap. How good it looks is also going to be dependent upon your tip and root widths. At any rate, this hair has four groups (left, back, right front, right side), and the density is 50,000 (back), 33,000 (left), and 32,000 (right front and right side). Other than the back, which I made a bit thicker, the tip widths are 0.26 and root widths are 0.32.
