Description

Special Notes: I've heard it said that my stories are a bit far fetched because how could a bunch of kids be Gunslinger Lawmen. History. Frank "Pistol Pete" Eaton earned his nickname at 15 because he was already the fastest draw, with either hand, then anyone had ever seen. At 16 years old, Pistol Pete had mastered a two gun cross draw that was so fast he gunned down a local bad guy despite the bad guy already having his Winchester drawn. This would become the first of sixteen notches on Pistol Pete's gun. At 17 years old, Pistol Pete became the youngest Deputy Marshal in old west history. Pistol Pete was never defeated in a gunfight, largely due to his lightening fast draw. He died peacefully in his bed at 97 years old. At the time he passed away, he was wearing his pair of loaded Colt .45 Peacemakers.

Great illustration and nice bit of western knowledge. The doubters should read a few Louis L'Amour novels.

They think it's too farfetched that kids are gunslingers, but not that they fly around in spaceships? My my.

I think people forget that its only been recently in human history that, we in the industrialized nations, have extended childhood. Not that long ago "children" were working whaling ships, riding pony express, farming, and raising their own families.

Fantastic scene and character, outstanding work! Who ever these people are, they sure don't watch the news today or study any history at all

There is no way I would want to live in the nay sayers reality, it must be so tirlessly boring, poor babes! Go to other parts of the world today and you will find many many 8 and 10 year olds that live in a harsh reality most of us could not comprehend! Oh and heres another point, you openly advertise your amazing work as Science Fiction - what part of fiction is misunderstood, turn the dial if you are not happy naysayers, lol! Great image also R.L.

Nice job. Sorry i haven't been "commenting" on your stories lately. Haven't had time to read them. Seems a bit silly to comment on something i haven't read.
