Description

on the way back from Bonneville Dam, I saw this. I had to work on this to get it viewable for you. Just looking at this and seeing the striations and then thinking of the forces necessary to move this up is very staggering to say the least. I wish everyone a great and happy week Thanks for the comments and faves. I greatly appreciate them

Funny, that's just what I was saying to my boss last week. I'll wager that walking on top of this formation must be overwhelming. It's amazing what nature can do given 4.6 billion years.

Yep, tectonics be awesome. We are fortunate to be living during a relatively calm period in the earth's history. An impressive shot, Mike. It really shows off nature's power.

We do underestimate the brutal power of nature often don't we. Nice to see for us ex-geologists out there!

Well, you know, I'd be more impressed if you do a selfie dangling half-way up by your fingers as you scale that little rock.... yea... climb it!
