I am a psychologist who attempts to foster creativity in clients. I have studied the creative process and make use of it in therapy. I plunge in myself when I can steal the time. I have taken pictures for over 40 years, and blend photos with digital creations. I have had virtually no formal art/photography training, so it is somewhat like brain surgery self-taught. The aim is for a creative life, one of continuous progress. I still have my manuels for Poser 2, Bryce 2 and Painter 3D. Each day ,before my work-world starts, I check out at least one new image and sometimes follow it back from there to a site, links etc.... I am impressed by the quality of work in The Art Community and hope to make a contribution. Thank you for visiting.

Park Rangers have the right to misinform themselves, and they quite frequently do just that. It seems to be in vogue for them to think that Water Buffalo are the only type of buffalo in existence. Not so. Plains Bison and Wood Bison are correctly called Plains Buffalo and Wood Buffalo and they abound in North America, thanks in large part to Elk Island National Park near Edmonton, Alberta. Also, the animal pictured is not a "Beefalo." I think the rangers have been eating too much genetically modified corn.

Perhaps it is I who have been Buffaloed. It is a relief not to have to correct all those people who are selling Buffalo Burgers. But what will we tell the army of volunteers who have enlisted in "the correction cause". I guess the good thing is that it appears that there were no actual takes for this. Whatever, the correct labeling of the animal above Buffalo/Bison and drop the Beefalo, it remains a beautiful big shaggy creature.
