My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

That looks like my kind of country.

That grass seems to define a kind of barrier, as if there's been a tectonic shift, or at least a shift in the geopolitical policies of various insects. What's even better is that this is such a great shot of a really rugged, hypnotic piece of bumpy land. I gotta get out that way, since the Midwestern Flats are really...um...well...it's just so flat here and it's time to move on. Eventually. I love the tawny golden colors and the greens, and then that sky and those rocks! Yeah, this is great. I should also tell you that this makes me think of some other environment: maybe where colonial activities are taking place, and at night--when you look up--you can see a visiting star that isn't a star at all, but the colonial operations ship, just hanging in orbit, doing the colonial operations ship thing. What's not to like about that?

a wonderful scene; I can almost hear the grass whisper in the wind; I can almost feel the sand blowing around my ears

Looks misty and windy; I can almost smell that ocean smell colliding with the river scents...beautiful capture of this edgy spot!

Excellent shot. I think you've captured the blustery weather well. And, yes, the ol' navigator in me had to check those coordinates in google map; definitely land's end - and not the clothing store. Great work.

I looked at Google Maps and found the coast is pretty unspoiled all the way up to the Canadian border. A beautiful place and great start for a trip north.

Wow - you were right on the point! Looks like an awesome place to fly the Phantom, although I suspect it's pretty windy there. An excellent shot, Tara - it really makes you feel like you're actually there.
