Description
1951 - King's Road Junior School, Manchester. You have to guess
which is me. We had a winning Netball team. A clue - it was a breezy day. 11 years old, just passed my 11plus and all ready to go up to the High School where I hated every minute of Academia and the snob system.
No laughing at those navy blue knickers please. haha....

What a memory inducing shot this will be for many I would guess! The class system and snobbery is still there I suppose 60+ years on. The heart breaking thing for me is one of my 3 children that went to University joined the "snobs". Or thinks he has, they know as well as I do he's working class! These days the photographer would be arrested, not for taken a bad photo either!

Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful photo and memory (although for me it's a lovely kind of memory, despite of you hating the system, Jenny ;-)). You then already was a very lovely girl, with such a happy and beautiful smile (and hair).
