It’s pronounced THOR-ee-en-dan, kind of rhymes with “pour me in pan”. But you can just call me “Dan”!
I’ve been creating 3D renders in Daz Studio as a hobby since 2011, and I’ve been posting here since 2014. 3D art is a bit of escapism for me, and an outlet for the characters, scenes, and stories that pop into my head. I like to keep my gallery eclectic, and try something a little different each time. I enjoy writing and receiving comments, and I welcome any suggestions for improvement.
In “real life”, I’m a middle-aged mechanical engineer with a wife and several kids. I have no training or background in art or photography, but I have tried to learn what I can about photographic lighting and composition here and there from articles, tutorials, and other artists.

Thank you! I have written a brief story to go with other images before (on other sites), and I have wondered if they are seen as a fun supplement to the image as intended or if they just seem silly. Glad to see that somebody enjoyed both the image and the story.

Very fine work and pose.

Beautiful character in a very relaxed pose. Creative and superb lighting. The short story not only gives the viewer some context for the image but tells us a little about the artist. Nicely done on both accounts.

Thank you (and thanks to everyone who commented), I'm glad you enjoyed the image. I meant to respond to your comment earlier, because there are a few points I find interesting, but I forgot until now. The relaxed pose (which has been pointed out by other comments on other gallery sites, too) was inspired by the fact that her arms didn't fit inside the boat when I first posed her... once I put her hands on the railings it defined the character's personality and gave the image a theme. It's interesting how these things work out while in the process of creating a scene. The other thing that is interesting is the idea that the story tells the viewer a little about the artist. I'm too afraid to even ask what I've implied about myself here! :)
