Description
Captured back on 10/20/08 on the grounds of the beautiful Santa Anita Race track, in beautiful Arcadia, California, and, despite the smog that day, with the beautiful San Gabriel Mountains in the background.
I really like the design of this auto, with that bullet nose and long trunk area. If this doesn't impress debbielove and neiwil, then nothing will.
Definitely ZOOM capable.
Cheerio.

I always loved the bullet nose too, as well as the sunshade on the windshield. What a beautiful old heavyweight, and you got some lovely shots with the sun making stars on the glossy surface!

So good to see your car portraits whenever you post them: They're one of your specialties. The beauty of this old Studebaker aside---it's a great old car, with the bullet in front and those 'wrap around' backseat windows---forgive my lack of the right terms---your shots are scintillating and vivid, and they're so clear. I assume you wish you could have these shows 'all to yourself' so you wouldn't have to deal with people, their reflections in the chrome, etc. But you actually got some almost people-free shots; and, in the top shot with the couple, the car soars past the people and is the true star of the shot. Your head-on is so bold and assertive, with all that deep blue standing out against the burnt-green grass. The 2d shot shines, jewel-like. And the 3d gives the more "blue-green" tint to the chrome---a lovely shot, with the reflected people bringing out the car's beauty rather than interfering with it. A lovely trio, Harry, and more of your scintillating car captures. I assume these take postwork time, because light off of such surfaces isn't friendly to the lens, and because the glare of strong sun must interfere with everything. Your post-op is fine as always. A wonderful homage to this beauty.
