Description

A shot from Bempton cliffs, always an amazing place to watch seabirds. The views are looking down the cliff at the nesting sites of many different species of seabird. Hanging over well constructed fences keeps you safe, but do hang on tightly to your camera. The coast is scalloped out naturally giving points jutting out. This remarkable natural feature allows views of the precarious lifestyle of the birds from dry land! Everyone wants to see Puffins above all else! After going 5 times over 4 years, I only got distant shots of them. This year after being told they had all left and gone to sea we had the best views ever!

Excellent capture of these birds that Icelanders capture and eat after smoking their flesh...

Great shot - his expression & markings give him an almost cartoony character. I've only seen these in zoos & aquariums & have always enjoyed seeing them - they're unique & very appealing birds...

What an exciting delight for you, Kevin! We have a colony on the Dorset Coast but the walk is too challenging for my lungs now. Great pic!

Oh I am so jealous! You got to see one of these in the wild! I've only seen them in zoos. Great shot!
