Description

I was inspired to do this one by the triumphant stage return of Kate Bush. I know that the likeness isn't that great, but I hope I have captured something of her unique personality and style - she is a one-off! Thanks for looking. This is a pure Carrara render (not Octane). Phil

Without reading what you have written, the first thing that came into my mind was Kate Bush so by that I would say that you got her bang on... Great work.

I can't imagine doing a HUMAN being SO WELL in Carrara! Fantastically done! (I'm just getting to really know Carrara, since I finally have a machine that can handle it!) :)

Ba-boo-shka! Just needs that amazing chainmail and headpiece and you're there. (Odd, isn't it, that it's so difficult to re-create a specific face in 3D? When I was young I used to draw my favorite celebrities in pencil. I got good enough that friends could recognize them without being prompted. I can't get even remotely close in 3D. I really have to bow down to those zBrusher's who just nail their subject.)

Before I read the caption, I thought that she had a Kate Bush look about her. I think it's down to the hair and lighting, more than the actual face. The face is still good though.

I love Kate Bush and didn't know she has returned to the stage! Lovely render. I remember listening to the Hounds of Love album driving from Colorado to Washington State. Good Memories! Thanks for the post!
