I've never done it, but nothing made with thread is impossible, and none of it is boring! :) I love the bobbins. What a joy it must be to hold these in your hands and feel the smooth surfaces while a piece of lace takes place before you. sigh Wonderful!

Well spotted and taken shot of once vital cottage equipment! I saw a doily being made once on a huge cushion with dozens of these bobbins, such skill and concentration required!
