Description
I'm playing with my new model.
The HA-1112 "Buchon" was the last evolution of the Messerschmitt Bf 109.
I was trying, without much success, assemble on the cell of a Bf-109G a Hispano Suiza engine, Spanish construction.
We opted for the later installation of Rolls Royce Merlin (and they were using these engines for the version of the Heinkel 111 made by CASA).
The adaptation of these bulky engines to narrow fuselage of the Bf-109 was laborious, giving the aircraft a distinctive profile.
The meaning in Spanish of "buchon" is a domestic pigeon which swells the crop.
Curiously, the prototype of the Bf-109 was also powered by a Rolls Royce (Krestel).
Operating in the "Ejercito del Aire" Spanish from 1956 to 1965 and some used in colonial conflicts in North Africa.
After many units with few hours of flight were auctioned, repainted with German insignia and began a career in the film industry and in the aerial exhibitions.

Another classic, Pedro! The textures look fantastic and make for a really beautiful looking aircraft.

Wow! They have two of these near me (Duxford) previously Spanish Air Force, both in the film Battle Of Britain.. But... That apart, it grieves me so much, that until someone with a know-how of how to fix my PC or / Poser, I do anything on it. Thus I can't use anything you make.. Fantastic ,model, I will use when I can.. Rob
