Description
I have try to combine three types of art forms or movements if you like to call them. Abstract which is two types here. one on top which is structure and playing with colors and how the interact. and the floor which is a free flowing style.
Then I got the realism look at the two dancers in front. Not photo real but it ok.
Then i have an illustrator style on the other people and band also. not sure what you call it.
anyway I hope you like it
oh the flag on the wall is the Cajun flag or what they call it Acadia flag

That's outstanding, Jocko! I can see moment that from your painting, hear it and smell it. That is very interesting to me that the Cajuns of today still remember where they came from with that Acadia flag. Had no idea there was an such a flag, but now that I know there is one, I know why. That's good. Gotta remember where you came from and how come you came.

I see what you mean, Jock by the different style here, I love how you used all the colors in the background and the spotlights, as the dancing couple is very interesting. Thank you so much for your nice words on the music machine, my friend. And also for mention the link to Arthur van Poppel other machines. I didn't saw that scooter before. I'm sorry, I was not often active on RR.

what an interesting and fantastic painting! there is much life in this work but all is diffuse to highlight the two dancers in the front! and there poses are gorgeous and telling its own story of age and helpful heart! ;o)

Jock, you are getting better and better. I really love this one with the different styles and it is really awesome, the way you painted the dancing people in the background, only suggested. Not to mention the "wispering" of the orchestra on the stage. Both Look very convincing to me, even though you didnt color them. I really think this is a super painting. The two dancers in front are perfectly placed in the picture. The spotlight is great here too :) In my eyes, this is a masterpiece. Congratulations. :-))))
