this old phone booth is on the edge of the parking lot of the businesses next to Treasure House
Somewhat old I'd say
Monday, 1September to Sunday 7 September I will be away with my friend in the Wind River area of Gifford Pinchot National Forest, in the vain attempt to bring down an Elk or deer or whatever else crosses our paths.
Understand that the animals have an extremely high chance of coming out of this alive as I will be using a bow - this means that the odds favor the animals in a very lop-sided manner.
I do not hunt for "sport" or trophies as I find that manner to be disgusting and inhumane.

You would think they'd remove the booth, since the phone guts (and likely the phone book) are gone. I suppose someone could use it for some kind of shelter from the elements if they had to. Great find and capture!

I actually seen a pay phone recently that was still usable maybe. when the pay phones went to private companies the thiefs would want to charge if one wanted to call across the street if it was another area code, and some ridiculous charge also like 50 cents a minute payable in advance

Haven't seen one of these in many years. Still looks to be in pretty good shape. Have a safe trip and don't forget to bring a camera. You might catch your friend in an embarrassing moment.

This is really too bad. Not all of us carry cell phones. I consider cell or smart phones to be a rip off. You can still find one or two street phones in Toronto though most pay phones are safely tucked away in malls now. I wish all the natives of the forest the best of luck this coming week. But do have a good time nevertheless. Cheers!
