Description

Captured 3/21/12, at the semi beautiful El Dorado Nature Center in Long Beach, California. I caught this vivid reflection of tree branches in the water while standing on the shore of a lake. ZOOM applicable. Ta ta.

Beautiful, Harry. It's hard, at first, to know the exact cause of the image---until one reads your words. And the ambiguity is delicious. You got sections of agitation on the top, which are like molded glass refractions. You have lights along the bottom 2/3's, which I believe are in the lake itself, only illuminated by the sun, and popping through the surface. (Rocks and such, from inside the lake, I presume.) The tree looks like you're looking directly at it, even though it's in reflection. And the water could easily be sky---because in a way it is, being that it's reflecting the sky without impediment. A wonderful "at the right moment" reflection shot, where the two worlds are in delicate balance. I don't recall many close water-reflection shots in your gallery; you do it beautifully. It's got just what fine reflection images have: The meeting of several worlds, seamlessly. Very delicate work.
