Description
Our friends live in a house on a hill at the end of a very long driveway that snakes back & forth several times. After having a wonderful lunch at their house with a couple of other mutual friends, we drove back down & I stopped at one of the curves in their driveway & took this photo of the rusty bed that sits there...

LOL how cozy. But has anyone made effort. Even with flowers, which must not be poured. But the view is really great.

It's hard to pick and choose when I've been away a bit, as there are always images I don't get to that deserve equal attention. So, as I often say, know that my choices aren't choices "against" anything, just the effort to get a broad swath, if I can. Your postwork has both softened the scene as well as given it a gentle glow. Maybe even slight ghost images around the edges...I don't know. But it makes everything seem from a fairy tale---which this bed frame suggests, in style and in its isolated stance in this field. Or a dream. The big flowers coming out of the frame? Or inside it, from the ground? They add the sense that this is from a Hans Christian Andersen tale. And the gold grasses and soft mountains in the background? A beautiful child's dream. The frame, because of your treatment, doesn't look so much abandoned as waiting. Fine imaginative work, and fine use of postwork. Enchanting and inviting. (What's it doing there, lol? Just an abandoned object that your friends decided to keep there, as it took on a life of its own? Or was it a bed they got rid of? Questions about...)

I liked Jeff's idea about it being a "flower bed".
