Description

So, you've spent the day with a buddy, and a short drive turns into a road trip because you missed a detour sign. After 3 hours of looking for the road you want, you realize that you have been heading west, when you should have been driving east. This is all too common when you're driving the canyon country of the west. Another common feature of those canyons is the remarkable lack of cell phone coverage. And you remember the dire warning she gave you before you left, "Just make sure that you are home by 7:00." , and there is no way in hell you are going to make it back before midnight (probably shouldn't have stopped for that beer in that little 1 horse town in Baca County, but hey, the tacos were actually made with fresh elk, who could resist). And by the time you have cell coverage again, you're already late, so you call, the line is busy, so you leave a fast message and lie, "Uh, sorry babe, we had a breakdown, we got lost, there was a bridge out and the road was closed. We had to backtrack, we're ok though. Sorry I missed it, see you when we get back, love ya...bye." (That should do it) And thinking she'll be asleep by the time you get home, yeah, she'll be pissed, but she always cools off by morning, and you're sure her parents would have understood why you missed dinner..... And you park the car in the drive, quietly unlock the door....and.....there she is. She just gives you that look for about 20 seconds and then gets up and walks to the bedroom. You hear the door lock behind her. And then you see the pillow and blanket she left on the couch. The pillow and blanket that the dog has already made a nest in. So you do what any guy would do....you go to the kitchen, get a glass of wine and....oh look...leftover chicken! Hmm, check the movie schedule for the next week, bribe the dog with some chicken and make yourself comfortable in you new home (for the foreseeable future). Beautiful pose to fit the story (LMAO). Does she looked pissed, or is that just me?

Fantastic job! She really does look pissed. Your story is a wonderful explanation of why he will be getting the cold shoulder for at least a week. I hope the dog doesn't decide to reclaim the blanket.

Cool Poser image of the skeptical lady, and, sorry, I didn't have the time to read the story beneath.
