Description
Although inspired by the myth of Daphne, this is not meant to be an actual depiction of her. Because the model more closely reassembles a banyan tree than a laurel tree, I decided to just go with a sylvan setting and have a dryad unjustly trapped inside her host
She continues to struggle against her cruel fate because she knows that even gods must someday die and then she will be free again if only she can endure long enough...
Now that I think about it, this piece also reminds me of The Trees, by Rush. It would make a nice cover for the single, don't you agree?
