Description
A streetcar named desire.
Captured way back on 5/13/06, at the Orange Empire Railway Museum in Perris, California. An 80-acre site featuring 200 steam, diesel and electric locomotives as well as passenger and freight cars, streetcars, and other railway equipment. Rail transportation in the West from the late 1870s through the 1960s is depicted.
The only fully operational tracked vehicle in tip top condition at the museum, used to carry paying passengers around for a view of at least a portion of the site. This streamlined model represents the last of the streetcars in the general Southern California area before automobiles dealt the system a mortal blow.
Because of the fewer kbs posted because of the low resolution, I was able to squeeze six shots in on this collage.

What a very cool set of shots of this lovely vehicle; too bad they aren't still running, the autos that squeezed them out of business have really ruined the traffic in the area! I love the bright yellow colour and the "streamlined" shape! Excellent work, Harry!

Harry, this is a very cool old streetcar. I would very much like to visit this site in person one day.
