Hi everybody,
My name is Dana Pommet and my wife’s name is Josephine. I was born in Gloucester, Massachusetts, in 1942, and except for a tour in the Navy, lived there for most of my life. I retired to Delray Beach, Florida in December 2000. We love to travel and photography goes hand and hand with that. I went digital about 5 years ago and started posting November 22, 2008. I have met so many wonderful people on RR and that makes this whole process so much more interesting than just posting photos. Thanks for all the comments and keep them coming.
Update  January 2012: After hiding and denying my mild Dyslexia, for most of my professional life, and now fighting with its advancement – I want to thank you all for putting up with my poor typing skills and spelling problems. I know that my spell checker hates me and I now depend completely on audio books rather then actually reading printed books.  Life marches on!  Â

A fine shot of these golden rod plants.I remember playing in fields of them when I was a child in Massachusetts.Allergy sufferers didn't like them, but I also remember hearing that other people would use them to make herb tea.

I love this plant and am encouraging it to spread in my garden, as the insects love it so much. I have no trouble with Solidago pollen, but conifers give me hell! As I live in a town famous for them I just have to use medication when nessecary then there's no problem.

Very vibrant yellows & a couple of bees as a bonus. As a longtime hay fever sufferer myself, I prefer to see this in two dimensions on my monitor rather than in person. Good luck with your moves & house sales, Dana & thanks for the many generous comments you have left in my gallery - you're the last person who should be apologizing for falling behind...

It's a splendid yellow, Dana, and I just love this flowers, also because off all the insects which come to visit it. Your photo is so beautiful as the flowers stand such close together, that they look a bit like yellow fireworks to me.
