Description
I recently had a gentleman here do some hard landscaping - pathways etc. He used slices of beautiful Indian stone in shades of gold, creams and warm pinks. I was thrilled to find this fossil of what looks like a heather type plant. I sprayed water on it to show up better in the photograph.
Thankyou for looking - obviously if you can identify the plant and even better, the year the mud slide slid it would be wonderful:-)

well spotted and captured, reminds of a building I saw in Japan where the builder had obviously laid large leaves in the concrete moulds to leave a trace when the concrete dried and the plant matter rotted away to nothing
