Description

It had to happen I suppose. While exploring the hotel gardens at their leisure one of the ducklings headed for the infant pool. It was strange to see mum's reaction to her floating babies! She clucked loudly like an alarm call. Then she watched them for a while. i thought she was going in too for a moment! Then she headed off away calling them out from a distance. It seemed a reluctant exit as they slowly went to mum. Then they went back to following the scratching way of life. She kept well away from the pool area after that, seeing it as a threat in some way perhaps!

or a gamey chicken. I have never seen a chicken caring for ducklings. the water must have really confused her pea size brain superb and unique capture
