Description

Scotland has decided, and the UK remains intact, to the delight of the majority. Devolution will surely follow for all four countries, and I am reminded of a marvellous quote from the anthropologist Kate Fox, whose book 'Watching the English', is one of the cleverest and funny books I have ever read. She says " A truly English protest march would see us all chanting, 'What do we want? GRADUAL CHANGE! When do we want it? IN DUE COURSE!'"

An amazing beast! We used to have massive slugs like that in the garden - we called them cows. Alluding to going slowly and the British political system is very clever. I just love that quote you dug out. Nothing could be truer!!!
