Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

I remember those days as if they were yesterday: and to top it off, I know a new place to go to...well...it's not so new. It's an old favorite that's moved. It's in walking distance of where I work. You can probably google "The Underground Wonder Bar", it's a great place. Live music 365 days a year! And it's walking distance from The Red Head. I love these shots and I remember those days so incredibly well. These are wonderful. Yep...you gotta get back here and when you do, I gotta head back out in that California direction too! These are great! Great memories.

That was such a great trip! I love the picture of all of us, including Juanita (who wasn't on the list, but was a hoot ... she's Dave's mom). I remember where you took this picture, too. We were at that place near the aquarium that had the globes and the soft bouncy play surfaces. Fantastic!!

God I'm sorry I never commented on this---I thought I had. I know tara and I had posted shots commemorating the occasion, and I definitely saw (and loved) yours. I just never commented---my apologies. A major oversight. But it's a wonderful collection, I remember every locale and the feel of being there with all of you. The big bean, the "Redhead" (right near the Persian place), the HardRock Cafe, and that place in the park where you took this pic. Tara looks very happy and so different different, you look a lot like your present avatar---smiling and radiant. Chip is beaming back there, cheri and dave look just as I remember them, so Juanita, who was so kind (and went along with all our hijinks), and Corey is as kind as ever, and me looking like bozo the freakin clown, with those "wings" coming out of my head. (You'll be happy to know I now have much better sweaters---still cable knit, but made of homemade Aran wool from Donegal Ireland, and they're wonderfully bulky and they breathe and I get lots of compliments on them...this sweater is all cotton, from Eddie Bauer. I had that sweater 12 or more years, too!) Lovely collection. Thanks for posting this, and I'm sorry I never commented on it: 2 months late is way late...
