Description

The columns are topped by a stag and a doe bronzes. The Agios Nikolaos fort behind them at the pier end. Grand master Philibert de Naillac (1396 - 1421) supervised its construction on the site of a byzantine tower. The legend is that the Colossus of Rhodes spanned the harbour here!
