That stare is very cold and creepy. Soul eaters are the darkest of life forms - though experts do refute that they are actually living. Every civilization has had encounters with them. Every living, thinking being fears them. They were old even when the Eldars were young. Some say - though hardly with any scientific vigour - that they are entities that escaped into our universe during the last great contraction. There origins effectively erased from time.
