My name is Jim Carter. I am retired. Why call myself pimanjc? I was a mathematician. Pi = 3.14, I'm a man, and JC are my initials.
I enjoy making renders with faeries, childrens' activities, and families. Many of my renders go back to my childhood memories or those newer adventures of my grandkids or relatives.
I also enjoy photography. Nature, sports, and especially my grandchildren, their friends, and their activities, are my favorites. I currently use an Nikon D7100. Garden Landscaping, Garden Railroading, RC-electronics, and Modeling are other interests.
I try making landscapes using Vue Complete, but am often frustrated. I wish I could find a local training class to take on Vue. Kindredsoul has been a lifesaver for me in terms of learning how to use vue. I enjoy working with Poser and Photoshop too. Often, I superimpose a poser figure onto a real photographic background. I hope you enjoy seeing my art...I will comment your artwork as much as I can....... I love browsing thru galleries to see others' art work. Some of you have amazing art pieces. No two are the same. Creativity abounds here. The quality of some of the landscapes astounds me.

It is a Dryas Julia native to Mexico, Costa Rica and Northern South America. I found it at the web site: http://www.flmnh.ufl.edu/butterflyguide/orange.htm Beautiful photo by the way.

I never know why english chose "butterfly" (litteraly "mouche à beurre") when french says "papillon" (latin) and germans "schmetterling" ("schmetten","schmand" = cream). Why the butter or the cream ? Très belle image !

A lovely shot Jim but these are not seen in the UK.
