Description
We adopted a new puppy this summer. A cute little rescue out of Kentucky that looks like a miniature version of our largest dog. Well, I hadn't forgotten about the experiences of raising a puppy, but I certainly hadn't expected a repeat of the welcome home I got with the last one.
So, I come home from work, put my things down and open the door into the house to see what looks like a toilet paper explosion. Yes, like her older adopted sister, the puppy repeated to a "T" the destruction of a roll of toilet paper. Bits and pieces everywhere!
And there I am, after an initial observation of the carnage, asking them who did that. Typically, the guilty party will run and hide, especially if the others are staring at them; as if to implicate them solely. Well, today the two older dogs sort of just stood there looking at me as if I were crazy. All the while, the puppy is racing back and forth grabbing pieces and dispensing them into parts of the house she has now gained access to. Somehow I am guessing there is more than one guilty party here.
I'm actually thinking, that if they have a way to communicate without openly barking, the two older ones incited this little incident. Especially the largest one.
Anyway, it's these little things that sort of make you laugh; even if it means you have a little cleaning to do after a long busy day. I guess I have to be thankful she hasn't yet repeated all the antics of the other dogs. I've been fortunate enough to return home without finding shredded shoes, blankets, pillows, furniture, or dog beds in dime-sized pieces; so that's pretty good.
I hope everyone has had their work week start off with a bit of comic relief too. Thanks for taking a peek!

I can only imagine that is what I must have looked like trying to interrogate them....well two of them, as the puppy was still darting back and forth hiding the evidence. I swept up the debris, turn around to get a dust pan and see shreds of paper had been carted into the kitchen again. Walk into the back room to take them out again, and there is the remains of what once was a full roll partially unraveled -- again, as the puppy darts away.

outstanding morphing on the fold of her blouse. I have two large grown rescue dogs. the female which the largest will chew on any and every thing if she is upset

it is very hard to type a response while chuckling but I love the story and her expression a lot of love and caring along with gentle instruction should bring the puppy to order..... thanks again for the smile and chuckle
