Description
This is a stone staircase in the Chateau de Beynac. Beynac is a small town in the Dordogne & the chateau was built at the top of a sheer limestone cliff in the 12th century & has been held by both the French & British at various times over the centuries. Beynac & the castle are both very picturesque & several movies have been filmed there, including Chocolat, Ever After & Jeanne d'Arc (the Luc Besson version from 1999)...
