My Grandmother Gladys always figured she could do anything she put her mind to, so at the age of 11, she took over driving her family’s 1918 Ford Model T truck. She wasn’t big enough to see out the windshield AND reach the pedals, so she enlisted her 8-year-old brother Bob to help. She would steer and shift gears while he sat in the floor and taking directions on what pedal to push. “We need to go faster so give it more gas, Bob.” Or ”I have to downshift into second so press on the clutch and tap the brake.” In this way they managed to get their Mother to town each week to trade farm produce for dry goods without mishap until Gladys was big enough to drive solo. After riding with her many times when I was a child, I’m not sure the world wasn’t safer when she had Bob as a co-pilot. K4, Jai hair are from DAZ.
