Description

The people on the path way give the scale of this impressive structure and it's perilous location. The archaeologists working on the restoration have a lifetimes work for sure! I would be worn out just walking to work! It also has temperatures in the 40's in summer. Not ideal for lugging big stones around!

Is nowhere safe from blasted cranes! Hehe, a wonderful shot though Kev, and you are right, it does give a sense of scale.

The cranes are for the restoration work! They have some large stone columns they are rebuilding with sections well over 10 ton! I wanted to ask how they got the cranes up there?

Fascinating rock structures as well as impressive architecture & yes, those figures give a good sense of the scale. The crane would be very simple to photoshop out if that was something that mattered to you...
