Hi, I'm Andrea, and I'm interested in creatures and plants both wild and tamed, and people of all sorts. I only use a compact digital camera ,as I love being able to get it into a back pocket, and not have to cart heavy kit about. I carry a Panasonic Lumix TZ series, binoculars and a hand lens almost everywhere. Most of my outings are with the dogs so I only use point and shoot.
I am getting the hang of Photoshop, thanks to some very kind folk on RR!
I have a wildlife garden in Bournemouth, Dorset, in the UK, and spend a lot of time there . I retired from teaching art to teenagers a while ago.
I'm now getting some good results with my digi compacts; it took me a while to make the switch from my old film camera, an 1960 ish Pentax Spotmatic, but the mistakes are much cheaper!
I have 4 lodgers, 3 dogs and a parrot who, as at 2017, I have had 40 years.
I has so far had 19 dogs, mostly rescues.

Aw one of my instructors in Collage is a watch and clock collector. Guessing she would be awed at this display, especially the one with the Scotty Dog, the Milk Jug, Dart Board and others to boot. So many to choose from, thanks for sharing.

A wonderful collection of clocks and I only found two that were the same time while I was humming "as time goes by"!

We just need one that shows what day of the week it is. Almost every day, Bill asks me, "what is this ... Tuesday?"

I like the grain and very slight edge work you've given to this. (It looks like edge work, but there are so many filters out there, you could've achieved this by other means, for sure.) Putting aside the actual clocks, the angle and profusion up front makes for a kind of 'journey'. We move back in the shot. And your slight grain somehow unifies everything together. I love the mix of clocks with boxes, with an upside down clock about 2/3 of the way to the right, and the reds standing out from the group. And the blank wall in your composition---which balances out the cacophony. A wonderful potpourri of shapes and forms, unified of course by the fact that they're all clocks. And a very pleasing moving-to-the-right image. And I like the variety of clocks themselves. Some are very interesting. (I could give you a number of links to watch/clock designers who've given very creative twists to the concept of time-keeping. But for now I'll just give you one---this is a trend in watches and clocks: Very personalized designs, and some purposely made to imitate old time-decayed objects. Here are 4 pages from a Japanese designer, Shintaro Daigo: His photos lack, bigtime, but click on a few anyway. Fascinating stuff. And there are other designers out there too, doing creative things with timepieces. Here are four from him... http://jid-shop.com/archives/category/item/watch http://www.joieinfiniedesign.com/collection_watch.html http://www.joieinfiniedesign.com/collection_ohter_works.html http://jid-shop.com/archives/1586)
