Hi, I'm Andrea, and I'm interested in creatures and plants both wild and tamed, and people of all sorts. I only use a compact digital camera ,as I love being able to get it into a back pocket, and not have to cart heavy kit about. I carry a Panasonic Lumix TZ series, binoculars and a hand lens almost everywhere. Most of my outings are with the dogs so I only use point and shoot.
I am getting the hang of Photoshop, thanks to some very kind folk on RR!
I have a wildlife garden in Bournemouth, Dorset, in the UK, and spend a lot of time there . I retired from teaching art to teenagers a while ago.
I'm now getting some good results with my digi compacts; it took me a while to make the switch from my old film camera, an 1960 ish Pentax Spotmatic, but the mistakes are much cheaper!
I have 4 lodgers, 3 dogs and a parrot who, as at 2017, I have had 40 years.
I has so far had 19 dogs, mostly rescues.

Awesome showcase of odd models showing off their clothing and accessories.

Great colours to be seen here, along with some very nice designs.

I wonder if it's because of Halloween, or just because that's how they felt like "dressing up" the windows? Very colourful, that's for sure. Excellent shot!

Nice. To the above comment.....This is Anime NOT Hentai, so frankly why even bring it up? It's like looking at a woman in the street and then ranting on that you HATE PORN.
durleybeachbum
Well I've not heard of either of them!

What a display...check out that...um...tasteful, little feathery number in the lower right! Yeah, that's something to wear to the award's dinner! Oh, and the purse above it would help complete the ensemble...and all you'd need are the shoes (are they in the other window?) This is such a welcome splash of color! I've been looking at data-screens all day and...well...market research questionnaires aren't colorful...and so coming here and seeing this is really refreshing. You have such a developed eye for color and relationships and I can just stare at this for hours...well...lots and lots and lots of minutes until that purse grabs my Muse's attention and starts unraveling a story about the guy who bought that purse for his mistress, only to find out that she's already gone out and bought one for herself because she simply had to have it. Yeah. I like this a lot, and the quasi-anime mannequins are so 21st century! Now that I look at it again, I think I found the shoe to go with the feathery number! What a find! Don't you just love shop windows? They're always so much fun. This is a great photo. It's go so much going on in it, and the colors are simply fabulous!

It's the manga girls! The clothes are the sort of crazy colour designs my daughter loves. A new age hippy!

Superb capture Andrea. God bless.

It's a great bright and colourful window shot and to hell with what the dummy's look like, do you think I'd look good in that feathery little number at bottom right.
danapommet
Very colorful and I liked the animated faces on the heads!

If I had young kids I would not be too happy for them to go near anime online simply because if you look at it's history in Japan and how things over there involving children are far more lax than in our countries UK/USA there is a big argument that paedophiles use this kind of thing to snare children into their evil sick webs of abuse... it's a doorway in because of it's innocent stylized character and colour. This shop is probably innocent enough and is a great shot of this colourful window dressing but it would be naïve not to think such things do not have a link to the nasty Hentai style which uses same innocent character designs and colour but for an entirely different and sinister reason.... if you doubt this simply type "Hentai" into Google... but only do this if you are not easily shocked. You notice how they like to blur the lines between the two and that is the issue.

How nice display !

How very odd! Both the display, and the comments it provoked. Fashion always seems unreal to me anyway, so this doesn't look any more or less strange to me than a "standard" display!
