Not poor at all, I thought this was very nice.I think if you brought the model closer to the camera and bent her finger a little more it would be very good!!!Hope this does not sound cheeky ,but you did ask for advise.good luck!!

As said above, a larger camera angle makes the image more impressive. Also try to avoid to place your object/model in the center of the image. Better is to place her at one third, but always let her eyes look into the picture. Just an old photographers rule to create more tension in the image. About black and white are bookshelves full written, but there must be something visable in either of them. I hope you can use my advise, it is for free anyway. Keep on posting and enjoy creating your art.

The concept of your image is very good, the posing and expression work well. The lighting can use some work as can the point of view or camera position. Raages and spacechimp make some good points, the thirds rule of photography can be very helpful in creating more tension and interest for the the viewer. Another pointer that you might find helpful is to have your character looking directly into the camera, as thought they are trying to communicate with the viewer of the image. The eyes are the window to the soul and therefore they need to be well lit. Try using another, softer light pointed at the eyes (Spotlight with a lower intensity and a small spread angle) this can breath more life into your characters. I hope you find this information useful, but above all else, keep posting and enjoying your art.

Thanks for your advices , i always listen people when it comes to be better . I have to look about the rule of photography ( well , since i am just a beginner in 3d art ) to make something more intense or captivating . I agree with you when you say eyes are the window of soul , i say sometimes this when it comes to women ( i know , i can be a playboy guy sometimes ) , but , only looking at eyes can be worthy of a million word sometimes . Have a nice day my friend , and thanks again for the advices
