Description

This is John my hunting partner this last archery season. he is wearing a mask as am I because the elk will see the expanse of skin between the hat and collar and will bolt for cover. these elk are very smart and wary so we have to use every trick we can to get close to them. as it was, we didn't have any success as there were 5 cougar roaming the area not to mention how dry and windy it was - all of which keeps the elk high in the hills

Mike, this is a very cool capture of your friend in the forest. Sounds like you two had a lot of company if there were so many cougars around.

I thought you meant cougars that hook up younger men Mike, they're even scarier than the puddy cat type, cool pic sir, but I'm kinda glad you missed out on killing something.. :0)

What a cool shot of John, looks like he is frozen in time. (Awesome in zoom) ! Perhaps he is measuring the distance between him and a cougar, which is a scary thought. Thanks for sharing Mike.

I like camera shoots better than the hunting kind, unless you eat Bambi.

I imagine the Elk would be cautious. I sure would be if armed men were walking around too. I wonder if it would work at the mall.

The masked John looks very scary. Even if I can not see his face, I would take as Elk still run away ... At least I'm an Elk(e) ... LOL Cool shot, Mike!

Hi John, nice to meet you! :) Perhaps Elmer Fudd could have learned a thing or two about stealth from you guys- -then again, Bugs is not your average hare either. :D

I'd love to see cougars out in the wild, how cool that would be! Great portrait of your buddy in hunting drag!

Cool shot of your hunting partner, Mike! Those woods look pretty dry, too. Hope you have better luck next time - and fewer cougars...
