You might spot me at Kirra Beach, the South-Eastern end of the Gold Coast, Australia, if you like beach walking like myself... but there is more ! My son Jeff (*jif3d*, here at Rendo, it helps to advertise, ooops)... he took this pic of me in 2000, then manipulated it in photo-shop and it's still one of my favourites. Just very briefly about my past... *born in East Prussia; *grew up in Berlin, West Germany; *migrated to "OZ" in 1960, (not the Wizard of Oz) but...AUSTRALIA ! I guess I was more into '2D' since early childhood, and thinking that my son Jeff may have inherited some of my artistic skills, because he translated them into '3D'. I am hooked on photography, since I discovered cameras... that's it in a nutshell. BTW - one of my fav.quotes.... ** I cannot give you the formula for success, but I can give you the formula for failure - which is trying to please everybody !** that's a wrap... Cheers Brigitte.

This is a fantastic looking photo, BB-chen*. You did great with the post work, and changed it into a delightfully whole, to look at longer then just one time, and of course it has to be seen on zoom. ;-). That garden must be very beautiful, huh? And it's a great dedication to Mark. Hopefully now you can be completely relaxed, and with pleasure thinking about your Europe trip, which made such an impression on you. It is much, I think, to process all the impressions, but hopefully you have beautiful photos to often look at, to enjoy again and again of this far away, and impressive journey. You did it, anyway so admirable. Thumb up, my friend. :)

Great capture and nice to have you back, Brigitte!! I think Einstein have some points. I am not religious but if I would prefer the orignal Buddhism or something like it. I think the World and life are something wonderful we all should appreciate more. Most religions tend do split people, both in Words and also violence.. Maybe your heard this tune before but I think it explains what we all need; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6sn1UqbbbqQ (copy & paste)

Mark's is one of the great galleries here, a collection of inner and outer journeys (and a gallery I have done woefully few comments in, I'm sorry to say, something I'm going to correct this time around on RR). And I know how much he appreciates the Buddha. So this image is perfect. I was a yogi for several years, though non-cloistered; so I know a lot about the buddha's teachings, as they're very close to that of the yogic world. Your treatment brings out the buddhist transformation of reality, the way you've brought out the "colonies" of hue inside the surfaces, and how the background branches almost look like light or wisdom raining down from above. The buddha, in his typical inward posture, has all those Indian features, the big mango eyes, the round face, the rich lips (hard to see, but they're there), and the stillness. You caught the feel of him and of these quiet shrines. And your filtering brought out the richness of the hues too, each making little islands all connected. A very fitting gift for Mark, and a lovely image, Brigitte.
