Description
Having a little fun with this render. Remembering my youth, used my G2 Battledress trousers & webbing with the Desert Rats shirt retextured to represent the late periode British jungle green uniform, added the bush hat & an Owens SMG. Everything is mine except for the the M1 Thompson from Panko. Used the enchnated forest from stonemason. Rendered & lit in poser with post work in PS to make it more like a 2D render. Thx for looking.

This was a part of my youth too and 22p was a lot of money back then I also used to buy the 'Warlord' comic, ahhh.... those were the days. Nice work Luis of a trip down memory lane.

I read a lot of comic in my youth. :-) Oh yeah... the good old times...

DejaVu. Last week I was pouring over the art and especially the cover art of as many "Commando" comics as I could find. .. alot of inspiration there. This is an absolutely brilliant take on their flavor, Luis. ie specially like the shadows on the figures. What a great graphic presentation. Excellent. I do have to say that you are a bit more conservative than the originals with the lettering in your title blurb. The originals fairly scream at you. This was a great and delightful surprise to open up. Great job!

In the US, we had a comic publishing company, E.C. Commics, which had great stories and some of the best artists I ever saw. They did fantasy and science-fiction, and war stories (and probably some other genera that I don't remember). Your render evokes some very fond memories of those days of youth and comics. Thanks!
