Description

Actually I saw this great pic of a ringworld concept and wanted to see if I could do justice to it in Carrara. I've been working on concepts for Darlis (The world within an Asteroid) for a Keepers of Wrath project, saw this, and wondered if I could do something like this just for fun. Anyway, hope you like it. *Thanks Phil for the inspiration for my project! *** Carrara/V4 Adrea (just for fun) Harpoon spaceship.

I have not worked with deformers and landscape shaders. Should be fun!

yes I used a gradient map to drive the main shape and then just manually did the sculpting. Then drove two shaders with a texture map.

Nice work! These things are one of my favorite SF concepts along with Clarke's Rama concept. They make for great renders, too.
