Description

This swan was on his way to attack my dachshund Fritz, who seems to attract angry swans! He has no common sense about large birds, even Rheas, and I have to rope him when any are near. My other dogs are more sensible. We beat a hasty retreat. Poole Park. See a moment later Here

Maybe the swan has been flirting for hours and thats why he's angry! Or even an attempted mating! A marvellous shot what a mix of nature and the bizarre tourist requirements!

When I first saw this, my immediate impression was as follows: The swan in the lower left is a decoy! My second thought was: Swans...yep...descendents of dinosaurs, and they are absolutely certain of it! Now, as for the photo, I like it quite a lot. I love the compare and contrast element (one of these swans is not like the others) and it's fun to see just how different they are. The thing is, I want to ride in one of those nice, paddlers. They're captured so nicely. I like this, and I also like the somewhat more militant version of that same swan.

To me it brought up the most magical of memories To many years ago to count as a young teen me and wonderful young girl called Clare. It only lasted two weeks, we would go out on the lake in a sawn boat, I think it being the only time we got to be alone. We would just talk and then kiss, the conversations and the kisses seem to be the most important things in the universe. It never went beyond those kisses neither of us ready for more. There have been a lot of very special and magical moments in my life since. And yet at times like now seeing them swan boats I would trade them all for another half an hour talking and kissing with my Clare. First Love is forever.

Poor Fritz, the swan could drown him. Fun pic.

Probably that same one that wanted a piece of him when Ronnie and I were there! Love these big paddlers, I wonder if the swan was fooled into thinking they were really big real swans? Great capture!

Funny shot... great comparison between real and man-made. I had no idea they could be so aggressive! Poor Fritz.
