Description

There's no one better to hold the fort than the old guys who have history and know what's at stake. This may be their final charge, but then again, they always say that... been saying it for years. In this picture I didn't want a movie-style multi-character image. I wanted to show that uniforms tend to level people - make them similar - in this case, a Band of Brothers! This picture was produced using Daz Studio and Photoshop. All products from Renderosity and Daz.

Wow, what an epic scene! You must have access to a render farm or something to be able to input so much detail without crashing the machine. However you did it, great work. Truly stupendous!!

That is an excellent image, a classic battle depiction. You certainly get your point across well too. Having spent a day or two in the military, the uniforms DO level groups out of their otherwise divisive individual differences, that's the purpose....regardless of what sort of society the military in question serves and represents. These Hospitallars are not riven by dissension or civilizational self-doubt, they know what they are about. In this case the uniform represents the unity of purpose across a "band of brothers" of differing feudal cultural origins, united in their faith here in battle. Really great render, rarely conceived of these days!

If uniforms "make them similar" in a "unique form", what's the thing that make them "con_form" in their mind, heart and soul to become a Brother Band ? Because giving the same uniform to all the people around the World will tend to only one brotherood camp and then, no weapon will be necessary and so, there will have no fort to hold : isn't it ? ;-) Beyond this, what a scene ! (Multilayered ?)
