Description

South Florida is green all year long. The grass, trees and palm trees. We have many croton bushes on our property and they are all green except one. It burst into these golden colors and it is beautiful. The leaves are about 6 inches (15cm) long. It will zoom. Our guests left today and thing should be back to normal for us! It was a fun week but exhausting for all. Thanks for stopping by, taking a look and for all your previous favs and comments. They are very much appreciated. Dana

Wow! When I saw the title of the picture, I immediately thought 'yeah, but where are the reds and golds we have here in NH?' But you fooled me! These are beautiful plants! I remember we had quite a few around our house the year we lived in Largo, FL. The foliage is pretty much gone for all intents and purposes. Now it is just that ugly time of year, with brown oak leaves and fallen leaves every where. Sigh...I guess next comes the color white, LOL. nice shot!

I love how those bushes do that; I've seen them go red too, and all colours in between. What a beautiful capture of this golden showoff!

Oh, I love Croton-plants, and in Holland we have them only in that red-green-yellow for in the house. Your photo is really beautiful, Dana, also that it are so many of them. Once I had a Croton, I bought it small, but he had become a very large and beautiful houseplant, with beautiful deep red color. I loved it. Then Karel said, he is too big, I'm going to transplant him. But oh my, he shortened the roots of the plant, and then he died ...... Ugh, my plant, I was really outraged that Karel had done so stupid. (but that happens many years ago, mean while we live in a different house, where the windows are unfavorable for holding large plants ;-).)
