My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

This is wonderful, Tara! I love everything about it, the rich chocolatey colours, the smooth delicious curves and the low lighting.

You are so good at finding details and compositional opportunities that others would not notice. Intriguing shot!

Oh, well seen! And of course beautifully captured too...I love the low light that shows off the lines of this shoe. Someone signing something? An autograph maybe?

What, no socks?? LOL! This is great, Tara! You always manage to the the 'picture in a picture' that most of us miss. Most inspiring, my dear friend! I'll have to check out the forum...

A very elegant shoe and surprisingly delicate ankle. An excellent capture.

Photography at its best and on a shoe string!

Oh what a beautiful picture, dear friend. The atmosphere is so very well caught , and really, this close up speaks to the imagination for me. When I saw the thumbnail I thought it was a (late) Halloween image, and it's a ghost without a head. I have great admiration for how you show this absolutely beautiful style shoe to us, Tara.

I love the subtle light & gradations of dark tones in this shot - it's as close as photography can get to the feeling of a Rembrandt or a Vermeer...

A very good photo, Tara.

With the subdued colors and dark atmosphere, I kind of feel the wicked witch of the west should be attached to that shoe.

Superb capture, love the ideal!

It's amazing, all the different explanations members come up with or what others can see is happening here - hilarious at times ;)) - maybe he is just giving somebody the heave-ho or the boot up the Khyber pass ... it's also part of life, right ? even though it was from the Dark Ages ;-( perfect and appropriate find for the challenge Tara, BB
