Description
it was looking over Lake Tenkiller waiting for a meal I suppose.
when I approached for a better vantage point it barely turned it's head toward me to say "what is this fool up to?"

isn't that the one Elvis had on his jumpsuit :-) For anyone who didn't know it he thought the eagle on his famous jumpsuit looked like a Buzzard :-) I though it was hilarious when I read that :-)

I wonder if British and Europeans shake their head when we call these birds buzzards. Their "real" buzzard is a beautiful bird of prey. But I admit I do the same thing. We have a lot of vultures/buzzards in our little town. Most Texas "buzzards" or vultures have the red head, but yours has a black head, so you may have gotten the Mexican vulture which usually stays further south.
